APEX 5.0 is on its way

Back in 2013 (or was it 2012) we were shown the first screenshots and pre-alpha version of the new APEX 5.0 development environment. After years of teasers, new screenshots and the Early Adopters environments, we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. APEX 5.0 is coming!

This morning a new message appeared on http://apex.oracle.comindicating the site is going to be upgraded the coming weekend: “This service will not be available on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2100 to 0700 PDT (Saturday, March 21, 2015 0400 to 1400 UTC). This service will be upgraded to Oracle Application Express 5.0 at that time.”. And pretty soon after that, history indicates, the downloadable scripts will be available as well.

So after all this time waiting we can start building new applications using the new Universal Theme, and with all other benefits that this new version will bring.

And just in time for OGh APEX World in Rotterdam next Wednesday.
